The battle between the Apple iPhone X and Google Pixel 2 starts Oct. 4

Google is set to unveil the Pixel 2, the successor to its well-received Pixel phone, early next month.

The company simultaneously released a teaser video, advertising campaign, and official landing page today, all under the slogan “ask more.”

A Billboard was discovered in Boston displaying the Google logo and a single line, “Ask more of your phone,” while the landing page lets you submit your email address to sign up for updates.

On Twitter, the “Made by Google” account posted a video clip showing questions being typed into a Google search bar. It hints at the features that’ll be highlighted at the unveiling, for example, “What’s wrong with my phone’s battery?” or “Why is my phone always out of storage?” The clip ends with “Funny you should ask.”

Unfortunately, “Why does my phone not have a headphone jack?” isn’t one of the questions. That’s a concerning omission because rumors leading up to the Oct. 4 unveiling suggest the Pixel 2 won’t come with the beloved port.

Still, the Pixel 2 is shaping up to be one of the most feature-packed flagship phones out there. It’s expected to run on a Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB of RAM, come with squeezable sides like the HTC U11, pack an OLED display and IP68 waterproofing and, best of all, run on Android Oreo out of the box.

You should expect Google to announce two phones, a standard Pixel 2 and an XL version like last year’s model (and the offerings from every other smartphone maker).
