Washington in the middle of a crisis of historic proportions, and our brave leaders are responding the best way they know how: by hiding in the bushes.
The past few months have produced story after story of elected officials trying to run from the people they’re supposed to have relationships with. Constituents can’t find their senators, senators can’t find other senators, and no one wants to find President Trump.
Every American should be able to reach out and find their representative, but half of the time reporters can’t even locate their whereabouts. Take a look to see if you can do a better job.
1. Where oh where hath Spicey gone?
After Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, Sean Spicer courageously confronted reporters by cowering amongst the bushes.
2. Can you find little Reince Priebus?
Trump’s aides and staff were hiding in their offices after the president fired Comey, leading one senior aide to quip, “Do not ask me about how this looks, we all know how this looks.”
3. Senator Burr, we come in peace.
Senator Burr once reportedly jumped out of an office window with his dry cleaning so as to avoid reporters.
4. MISSING: Senator Tom Cotton
Senator Tom Cotton ghosted his constituents for weeks before he ultimately agreed to a town hall, where he was trashed.
5. Senator Rubio! Please! We just want to talk to you!
In February, Marco Rubio tried to evade his constituents by telling them he was in Europe. He was later found in Florida, where he explained to reporters that he just didn’t want to be heckled and screamed at.
6. Whither James Comey?
James Comey reportedly tried to hide from the president by using his blue suit to blend in with the blue curtains.
Needless to say, he was unsuccessful.
We will find you, scared government officials, even if it’s just on our computers.
